This same idea could be applied to so many forms of media. I think people do need their escapes in life to a degree, but the point made in the comic is very evident in our culture.
im proud of my self control with certain things...eating, exercise but playing video games for hours and hours on end has and will always be my greatest weakness
This seems more social commentary than full-on humor. Not that that is a bad thing! Nothing wrong with a dose of awareness in one's humor. It was enjoyed.
Do you really think eliminating WoW would make the world better? Im sorry to incite flames here but seriously look at who Plays WoW (and I mean plays like 6 hours a day or more not just an hour when you get home from LIFE) These people may be "Smart" because they can run Deadmines without having to look at the screen but seriously if they had motivation in the first place to do something great they would have and without WoW they would find some other meaningless thing to be good at. Long story short, I don't want these people trying to fix something.
Wow that came off really harsh but I guess im going to keep it as is and not edit it down at all.
I was thinking the same about World of Warcraft.
ReplyDeleteHell, even I have about 100 days invested in it.
I see facebook and myspace being the bigger culprit.. Good post!
ReplyDeleteThat was pretty good, I know ive wasted countless hours on video games.
ReplyDeleteI've been playing WoW since the start. Makes me sad :/
ReplyDeleteanont: yeah me too :x
ReplyDeleteOh boy....elminating WoW would make this world such an amazing place.
